Individual Psychotherapy

If you have found yourself here, there may be something you wish to explore or change. In psychotherapy, unlike most other interpersonal interactions, you are invited to speak freely. An open dialogue with a clinician who is attuned to your unique story can be a transformative experience.

Our work together will be a collaborative experience, and I make it a point to honor your expertise on your life. We both bring useful skills and valid perspectives into the room and together we can find a path towards health and wellness.

My integrative approach draws from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths-based, art therapy, and mindfulness practices, tailored to your specific needs. By creating a calm and grounded therapeutic space, we will be able to collaborate in a process of creativity, playfulness, compassion, awareness of the body, and expanding ability to tolerate and experience emotions.

I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in multiple settings. This experience has taught me that each therapy connection is different. I have come to appreciate the necessity of culturally responsive therapy for all, particularly for those with marginalized identities.  I am committed to addressing racism, and other ‘isms’ and the harms they cause to the people I serve.  Since I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is a vessel for healing, I welcome frank and open discussions about the differences between us, and how they impact our relationship.

“Recovery can take place only within the context of relationships; it cannot occur in isolation.”
